Networking tech

This usually is the most important part of any smartphone. Simply because a phone’s intended purpose is to make calls right? But under networking we also see other features (available here) like Wi-Fi which allows you to wirelessly connect to the internet with certain criteria observed.  There is also GPS and OTG. OTG allows you to access content from a flash drive using an OTG. Hopefully Tecno includes ones in the box. I’m guessing yes. We would have wished for NFC here but unfortunately the company did not find reason to include NFC here. It is good to see that this is a 4G enabled smartphone. The last thing you want right now and in these days is a phone that isn’t.

Design and build

Tecno Camon 11 rocks an almost familiar look. This said with reference to the 11 Pro. Maybe a few minor changes included here like Tecno branding right below that fingerprint scanner on the back which we do not see on the Pro. I think every other detail has been maintained with the notch and that chin has a clean bezel.

That notch has a front facing camera, front facing flash and bunch of sensors within it. Volume rocker and power buttons have been left on the sides. It is a solid feeling smartphone with looks going for is as well. This one has these dimensions – 156.65 mm x 76.05 mm x 5.6 mm. At 5.6 mm expect a slim smartphone, and boy is it not slim and sleek? Makes it easy to manage on one hand despite its tall attribute.

Display

I find a great bargain here (considering price points) on the display of the Camon 11 since it rocks the same display as on the Pro version. That really is good news. It has a 6.2 inches High Definition + Super FULLVIEW display panel with 720 x 1500 pixels display resolution. A large display estate it is with good colors and direct sunlight visibility. Viewing angles are also okay here- words from my 11 Pro review.

Camera

That 16 MP front camera with flash is the better shooter of the three in my photographic opinion.  I am sure I share in thoughts with many. And can we not all read? It is a 16MP lens unlike the 13MP one on the back with a 2M depth sensor. Here this, and I apologize if for a moment I mislead you there. That 13MP lens is so good at its work as well.

An underperformer in no arguable way, well expect for the price point of cause. More expensive smartphones arguably take better pictures. It however is a good thing to include a flash light on the back and front of this phone. Believe me when I say that the camera performance of the Tecno Camon 11 is its main selling point. By that I mean you will decide to buy this phone immediately you interact with its cameras.

Performance and memory

It is powered by Android this phone and runs the 8.1 Oreo version of it. Another thing that powers it is that 1.5 GHz Quad Core Central Processing Unit (CPU) which is fairly decent at its work if you ask me.

Memory wise it runs 3 GB of RAM while that internal storage kicks in at 32 GB and you can count on an SD card just in case you want more.

Battery

The source of power here is a 3750 mAh battery that will surely last up to a whole day of usage until next charge. This is the same battery capacity as on the 11 Pro.
